BEHIND YOUR SCENES FAQ
I do post in-the-moment as the event unfolds. The spirit of this service is to be capturing and sharing organic moments that are unscripted, but also with little premeditation. I follow the action and share the journey on your Instastories.
Note: this will require allowing me access into your Instagram account during the event.
ARE YOU POSTING LIVE?
HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHAT TO POST?
I post the people, the energy and the details of the party. I aim to convey the essence of the event and, if I'm being honest, create a little FOMO for folks that aren't there. If a guest is in an unflattering state or compromising position, I use discretion and avoid filming. This also applies to any activity at the event that might feel questionable. I want you to look good online and use that as my filter when choosing what to post.
What I have learned is that anything after 10 pm is typically not something people want on a public account. :)
I film everything directly with my phone camera at the highest setting, then I post to IG immediately after capturing. This allows me to share the best quality footage for your later use.
ARE THE VIDEOS FILMED WITHIN INSTAGRAM OR ON YOUR PHONE?
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY CONTENT AND HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT?
Immediately after the event, all of your content goes to a shared iphone album (if you are an iphone user) so you can use it right away, if you choose.
The next business day, your content is organized in labeled folders within Air.inc, then shared via a web link. The link allows you to download in bulk and store how you would like.
As for quantity. It is hard to be precise, but I am filming constantly. Not everything I take is useable footage, but the camera is always in action and I will send you anything worth keeping.
Whether it's a guest privacy issue or a confidential moment of your event, we can discuss in advance. I will still film if you would like, but I will not post.
WHAT IF THERE ARE SOME THINGS I DON'T WANT POSTED ONLINE?
This is not uncommon for high profile events, yet you may want the footage for your own work portfolio. In this case, we can discuss what people or things to avoid and make a list of what is safe to capture. I also suggest letting your client know of my presence and intentions so they are at ease. I will not post live, but instead deliver the assets to you post event.
MY EVENT IS PRIVATE, BUT I WANT THE FOOTAGE. HOW DOES THAT WORK?
We have a phone meeting to go over the timeline and agenda of your event. We'll cover areas or people to focus on. We'll discuss any Reels ideas you have in mind.
Post call I will work on a few high level Reels ideas to keep in mind at the event, and I will run these ideas past you. You can also share examples of content you'd like to replicate.
WHAT DOES THE PRE-EVENT PREP ENTAIL?
I add your assets to the iphone shared album straight away. Over the next 24 hours I create 1 Reel for you to use immediately. Over the next 48 hours your assets will be organized and delivered via a link, and I will deliver the remaining number of reels we agreed upon.
WHAT DOES POST-EVENT LOOK LIKE?
Yes! Standard inclusion are 3 Reels for your use. If you would like more to work with, please let me know at our pre event call.
I do not create edits for TikTok, but you are welcome to upload your videos there on your own.
WILL YOU CREATE REELS OR EDITED VIDEOS FOR ME?
It is too difficult to tag each vendor in each video while being spontaneous. For this reason, I cannot tag everyone, every time. That being said, if there is a video I nab that is really flattering of the vendor/guest, and I think they would re-post it on their account, I will tag that individual.
If vendor recognition is critical, we can discuss a way to give a blanketed shoutout to participants up front.
DO YOU TAG VENDORS OR OTHER PEOPLE IN THE VIDEOS THAT NEED RECOGNITION?
Yes! The best way to please the masses is to make the content available to them. You are responsible for sharing the link.
If we need to make the content accessible to all parties same-day, this needs to be discussed in the initial call.
CAN I SHARE THE FOOTAGE WITH MY EVENT PARTICIPANTS AND GUESTS?
My first career was wedding planning so I am VERY congnicent of not being *that* person in the way of the photographer and videographer with their phone.
If possible, I like to connect with these pros before the event to make introductions and put any concerns at ease.
My content is temporary. Theirs is forever. I don't get that mixed up and will yield to these pros in iconic moments.
HOW DO YOU WORK ALONGSIDE
VIDEOGRAPHERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS?
I keep your assets saved in Air.inc for up to 3 months. Afterward they are deleted with the exception of shots that I may find useful for marketing purposes.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH MY CONTENT AFTER
I want to blend in with your guests, but remain understated so I don't stand out as I'm roaming around. I will dress to the ocassion, and typically be in black or dark colors unless otherwise asked.
WHAT DO YOU WEAR TO MY EVENT?
